The village of Ortahisar is 3 kms from Göreme and the Göreme Open Air Museum and 5 kms from Ürgüp. Lamihan Otel is very near the town center and a few steps away from trekking in Balkan Valley. Ortahisar, itself, is quiet with fewer tourists than are found in near-by towns. There is no night life or fancy restaurants, but if you want to go out at night, you can easily go to Göreme or Urgup.
